Undergraduate medical students will now onward have to study ethics and communication papers. The newly appointed board of governor of MCI has included it.

With the approval of new MBBS curriculam, the undergraduate medical students will henceforth study a course on ethics and communication starting from the new academic year, 2019-2020. Approved by the newly appointed board of governor of MCI, the new MBBS curriculam is made aiming to build a trust between the doctor and patient through communication. the process will also include traning.
As reported by Indian Express, the Board has also approved a proposal that states Diplomate of National Board, DNB degree holders can now onwards teach in hospitals like AIIMS, PGI and other state medical colleges.
Those DNB degree holders with one year of experience as senior residency at any MCI recognised institute and working in specialties with over 100 beds and super-specialties private hospitals are eligible for the faculty position. The decision was taken keeping in mind the shortage of medical faulty in the country.
